EMDA/Flow Team Takes on the 2024 Kathmandu Coast to Coast!

EMDA/Flow Team is thrilled to announce its participation in the 2024 Kathmandu Coast to Coast event. With great determination and excitement, our team is gearing up to tackle the ultimate multisport challenge in the stunning landscapes of the South Island route from West to East.

The Kathmandu Coast to Coast is an iconic endurance race, spanning 243 kilometres across New Zealand's South Island. The gruelling competition demands a combination of mental fortitude, physical strength, and knowledge of the terrain, and our team is ready to rise to the occasion.

Led by our skilled and experienced athletes, the EMDA/Flow Team brings together a diverse group of individuals with a shared passion for adventure and sports. Each team member brings a unique set of skills and expertise.

Introducing Team EMDA FLOW

Ben Williams - Runner

Ben Williams is back to EMDA/Flow Team having competed with the same team in 2022 and coming second in the inaugural 1 day - 3 Person Teams event.

Ben is a whippet of a runner, taking out the fastest run time (2:50.43) at the 2023 Kathmandu Coast to Coast as part of a 2 person team.

Laura Wood - Cyclist

Laura is a new edition to our team and the Kathmandu Coast to Coast line up. The weapon in waiting spent some time touring the world as a professional triathlete from 2018 to the start of the pandemic. As the EMDA/Flow Team Cyclist Laura is looking forward to participating in the event rather than an experienced support crew for friends in past years.

Chris Stagg - Kayaker

Chris is an experienced kayaker that knows the river like the back of his hand having guided on the Waimak for 10 years straight until 2021. He's been the kayaker in a number of teams over the last decade being on the podium more often than not when he has competed. The last time with Ben in 2022. He knows he has some work to do to work alongside Ben and Laura

As we embark on this incredible journey preparing for the race, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our valued sponsors and partners EMDA and Flow Kayaks. Their unwavering support has made it possible for us to participate in this prestigious event and pursue our passion for adventure and sport.
